POPIA & Your Information

The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) gives people rights concerning their personal information and places duties on organisations that process it.

Contact IT-Assist about your information

Email itassisty2k@gmail.com with the subject “Personal information request”, or call 082 073 2307. Describe your request without attaching identity documents or passwords unless a secure verification process has been agreed.

Access, correct or object

You can ask what information we hold about you, request access or correction, ask for deletion where applicable, or object to processing on grounds recognised by law. Requests may require identity verification and may be subject to statutory exceptions or retention duties. Submitting a request does not automatically erase records that must lawfully be retained.

Use support safely

Only share information needed for your issue. Remove passwords and unrelated personal information from screenshots. Remote access should be agreed with you; do not share one-time banking codes. Business clients must have authority to share employee or customer information and agree any required operator arrangements before support access.
